Hey Girl, Welcome Back!

You know those mornings where your brain is already overloaded, your list feels scattered, and you’re not even sure where to start?

You want to get something done—but nothing feels doable.

So you either push through on autopilot or check out completely.

I used to cycle through that constantly.

Especially before I had a business, I kept trying to create the “perfect routine” to feel in control.

It never stuck.

What did stick?

A routine built around real-life energy, real priorities, and small tasks that actually moved my ideas forward.

TL;DR

If your routine keeps falling apart, it’s probably trying to do too much.

You don’t need a whole system. You need one grounded routine that helps you take action on what actually matters—especially when life feels like a lot.

The Only Routine I Stick To

When things feel overwhelming, this is what I come back to.

Not to check boxes—but to feel focused and in motion.

Here’s what it looks like, step by step:

1. Quick check-in (2 minutes)

I ask myself:

  • What’s pulling my attention today?

  • What do I actually have capacity for?

  • What would feel like meaningful progress by the end of the day?

This keeps me from defaulting to busy work or avoidance.

2. One task that actually matters

I don’t mean “post on social media” or “clean up my workspace.”

I pick one thing that moves my business forward—even if it’s small.

Real examples from last week:

  • Outline 3 bullet points for an offer I want to launch

  • Map out a simple workflow for onboarding clients

  • DM someone I’ve had a real conversation with and invite them to a free resource

  • Spend 20 focused minutes on a workshop slide

One task. That’s it.

3. Permission to keep it scrappy

If it’s not polished, perfect, or even finished—I still count it.

The goal is progress, not production.

4. A quick wrap-up

At the end of the day (or whenever I stop working), I name what I did:

  • “I made a decision.”

  • “I took action on an idea I’ve been sitting on.”

  • “I didn’t avoid the hard part today.”

That moment of acknowledgment helps me see the progress I wouldn’t otherwise notice.

This isn’t a morning routine or a content system.

It’s a way to stay connected to what matters, even in messy seasons.

And when I repeat it, over and over—it builds real momentum.

Not the loud kind. The kind that actually carries me forward.

Let’s Keep the Momentum Going

Pick one thing each day that actually matters.

Something connected to your real goals.

Start messy.

Keep it short.

Track the follow-through, not the perfection.

That’s it for this week.

If you want to tell me what your “one thing” will be this week, hit reply—I’d love to hear it.

You’re doing more than you think.
