Hey Girl, Welcome Back!

Ever want to scream when someone tells you to "be patient" with your business?

Like, you've BEEN patient.

You've been posting for months. You've been showing up, doing the work, following the advice. And when you say you're frustrated, everyone just says "these things take time" and "trust the process."

But here's the thing—you ARE trusting it. You've been patient way longer than you thought you'd have to be.

And now you're wondering if patience just means "sit around and hope something happens."

You don't need someone to tell you to be patient.

You need someone to tell you what to DO with all that restless energy when being patient starts feeling like doing nothing.

Because here's the truth: there's a big difference between being patient and being smart about what you do while you wait.

TL;DR

Being patient doesn't mean sitting still—it means being smart about what you do while you're building.

The Problem with "Just Be Patient"

Look, I get why people say this. Building a business does take time.

But when you've been showing up for months and someone tells you to just keep being patient, it feels dismissive.

Like they're not seeing all the work you've already done.

And honestly?

Sometimes "be patient" is code for "I don't know what else to tell you." It's like saying "everything happens for a reason"—maybe true, but not helpful when you're stuck.

The thing is, you're not actually impatient.

You're smart. You want to know that the time you're putting in is going somewhere.

You want to feel like you're building something, not just doing stuff and hoping for the best.

That restless feeling you have?

That's not impatience. That's your gut telling you it might be time to work smarter, not just harder.

What Smart Patience Actually Looks Like

So if "just be patient" isn't helpful, what is?

Here's the thing: smart patience isn't about sitting still and waiting. It's about being active while you wait.

It's about using that restless energy to actually build something instead of just hoping something happens.

Here's how to flip that "I'm tired of being patient" feeling into something that actually moves your business forward:

Use That Energy to Learn What's Working

Instead of just doing the same things and hoping they work, get curious. Which posts get people to respond? What conversations actually go somewhere? When do people message you back vs. ignore you?

Your restless energy is telling you to DO something—so do something. Just make it smart.

Use that "I'm tired of waiting" feeling to figure out what's actually working in your business.

Be Patient with Results, Not with Learning

You can't control when someone will hire you. But you can control getting better at what you do.

Don't be patient about improving your skills. Don't be patient about getting clearer on your message. Don't be patient about learning what your clients actually need.

Real patience isn't about accepting slow progress—it's about not giving up while you figure out how to make faster progress.

Know When "Patience" is Really Just Avoiding Stuff

Sometimes when people tell you to be patient, they're really saying "don't do the scary things that might actually help."

Are you being patient, or are you avoiding reaching out to that person who might say no?

Are you trusting the process, or are you scared to try something new?

Real patience means taking action while you wait for results.

Fake patience is just putting things off and calling it something nicer.

Turn Your Restlessness Into Information

That "I'm sick of being patient" feeling isn't bad—it's useful. Maybe you're restless because you're ready to try something new. Maybe you're tired of waiting because you know you could be doing more.

Maybe your gut is telling you it's time to change something up.

Don't ignore that energy. Use it to take smarter action, not just more of the same action.

Your Focus This Week

Here's what we're doing this week:

Turn your restlessness into learning. Pick one thing you've been doing and get curious about it. If you've been posting for months, look at which posts got people to respond vs. which got ignored.

If you've been networking, notice which conversations went somewhere vs. nowhere.

Use that "I'm tired of waiting" energy to figure out what's working and what isn't, instead of just doing more of everything.

Remember: You don't need more patience—you need better information about what you're being patient for.

Patience without a plan is just waiting. Patience with a plan is building something while you wait for it to pay off.
