Hey Girl, Welcome Back!
You know that moment when you're lying in bed at 2am, staring at the ceiling, and thinking "maybe everyone who said this was too risky was right"?
When you've been at this for months, put in so much effort, and you're starting to wonder if you're just delusional for thinking this could actually work?
Maybe you posted something this week that got zero engagement. Again. Or you reached out to someone and got crickets.
Or you looked at your bank account and realized you've spent more on this business than you've made.
And suddenly quitting doesn't feel like giving up—it feels like the most logical, sensible thing you could possibly do.
I know that moment when throwing in the towel stops feeling like failure and starts feeling like relief.
But here's the truth: that moment when you want to quit is usually right before something clicks.
Not always, but often enough that it's worth examining before you make any big decisions.
TL;DR
The urge to quit often hits hardest right before you're about to figure something out.
What's Really Behind That Urge to Quit
Can I tell you something? That moment when you want to throw in the towel isn't actually about your business being wrong for you.
It's about hitting the point where you've been caring so deeply about something uncertain for so long that your brain is basically screaming "MAKE IT STOP."
And honestly? Your brain has a point.
Building a business requires you to pour emotional energy into something with zero guarantees.
You've been showing up consistently, creating content, reaching out to people, believing in yourself even when the evidence feels pretty thin.
That's exhausting in a way that's hard to explain to people who haven't done it.
The thing is, we're not wired for this kind of sustained uncertainty. Our brains are designed to seek safety and predictability.
So when you've been living in "I don't know if this will work" mode for months, your brain starts looking for the exit ramp.
And quitting starts to feel like relief instead of failure.
But here's what I've noticed after talking to so many women who've been exactly where you are right now: the urge to quit usually isn't about your business actually being wrong for you.
It's about being emotionally exhausted from caring so much about something that might not work out.
There's a difference between "this isn't for me" and "I'm tired of not knowing if this is for me."
When you're in the thick of it, posting consistently and getting minimal engagement, reaching out and hearing nothing back, investing time and energy with no clear return—it's easy to lose sight of why you started.
You probably began this because you wanted to help people or create something meaningful.
But when you're focused on metrics and conversions and all the business-building stuff, it's easy to forget that bigger purpose.
Sometimes the urge to quit comes from forgetting your why, not from your business actually being pointless.
And sometimes—this is the part that might sting a little—the urge to quit comes right before something clicks.
Not because the universe is testing you or any of that motivational poster stuff, but because you're usually closest to figuring things out when you've been trying the longest.
You've been gathering data, learning what doesn't work, getting clearer on what does.
That clarity often comes right around the time you're feeling most discouraged.
I'm not saying you should never quit.
Sometimes quitting is absolutely the right choice, and there's no shame in that.
What I'm saying is: make that choice from a place of clarity, not exhaustion.
Make it because you've genuinely decided this isn't for you right now, not because you're tired of not knowing if it's for you.
The question isn't "should I quit?"
The question is "am I making this decision from a place of exhaustion or a place of rest?"
Your Focus This Week
Here's what we're doing this week:
Take a real break. Not a "I'll just post less" break, but an actual "I'm not thinking about my business for five days" break. Don't post, don't check metrics, don't brainstorm content. Just rest.
After your break, write down three things: Why you started this business, what you've learned so far (even if it doesn't feel like much), and what you'd regret not trying if you quit right now.
Then make your decision from that place of rest and perspective. If quitting still feels right, then maybe it is. But if you feel even a spark of "okay, maybe I'm not ready to give up yet," then you'll know the quitting urge was about needing rest, not about your business being wrong.
